Guestbook Idea

I think I've found a great guest book idea for our wedding. I know it's not super original anymore, but I think it would work great for our wedding, since I am into sentimental stuff. It's called a Wedding Guest book Tree. I found a great example on Etsy that I may use if I can't do it on my own cheaper. Click HERE to see an example. Basically, instead of people signing a stupid book that you will never look at again, they sign the "tree" and then you can frame it in your house and have it as a keepsake. If we end up doing Natural Bridge for our wedding, it would fit into the rustic/outdoor theme of the wedding!! I ran the idea by Eric's parents and they liked the idea too! Michael's has an example on their webisite for how to DIY it. I don't like it as much as the Etsy one, but since I'm trying to do a lot of the wedding stuff myself to keep costs down, I may end up DIY'ing this project too! Click HERE to see that example. I also will probably not make my guests stamp their own hand....I will probably do the stamping ahead of time and just have the guests write their name on the tree...that way I eliminate people not wanting to do it because they dont want to get their hand inked.

If you dont want to click the link, here is a picture of the Esty example: (the 1st one is without stamps and the 2nd one is what it will look like once it's stamped. The names would be written in the leaves). Cool, huh?

I am also having a hard time finding a wedding officiant in Rockbridge county. Hopefully the hotel can give me a recommendation or name of officiants that they have used or been used before. The more and more I think about this wedding idea, the more I love it. I think it's perfect for our personalities and what we want in a wedding. I am sooooooo excited!!!!! [Can't you tell!?!]

  1. Can I just say that the girl that takes care of the wedding stuff at Natural Bridge rocks!!! I asked her if they have a list of vendors, and she sent me a 3 page document of different vendors that they have used! Gosh, if this places looks half as nice as what I am thinking, we are totally having our wedding there!
