I week left...

Only one week left of "freedom" before my very last semester of nursing school begins. booooooo. It's been so nice having time to relax and spend it with my honey. I must say though, I am a nerd and I love learning, so as much as i love relaxing, a part of me loves school too. ( I can't believe I admitted that!) This is going to be a tough semester and the wedding planning will probably be put on the back burner for a while.

Tuesday, Eric and I are going to check out the Hospitality House and the Marriott downtown. Both have different feels and would be two very different weddings, so that will be something we really need to consider. I am afraid though that the wedding dress I am in love with is too dressy for either. I have two other options that I like a lot too that are a little less dressy, but I feel like one is more appropriate for a beach-themed wedding and the other is only slightly less formal than the one I love. I guess momma and I will have to decide in May, at which point hopefully Eric and I have decided on what type of wedding we want (formal/traditional sit down or non-traditional cocktail-style).

I spoke with my mom yesterday in trying to determine a wedding color and I still kept coming back to teal. I did not think that picking colors would be so tough, but it really is!! There's so much to consider with what colors are "season appropriate." I mean, I guess since it's our wedding, we can choose whatever color we want and just not worry about seasonal colors, but something tells me that having colors that are autumn-esq or wintery just doesn't seem to work for spring.... In either event, I still have plenty of time to decide :) I wish I didn't have a year plus, but I do, so no sense in wishing otherwise. We need time to save and with me not working right now, there's no way we can afford a wedding beforehand. Maybe instead of setting up registries, I'll set up the thing where people can donate money, which can help us pay for a photographer. Right now, that's whats going to be really kill us meeting our budget. If we can get our parents to help us, we'll likely put it towards the photographer....and I'd really hate to skimp on pictures. I love photography and I think it's so important to get great pictures on your wedding day!!

Well, that's all I have to say for now. Thanks for reading :)
