So, just when I think I've got the perfect wedding color combination, Eric throws a wrench in it. He does not like the teal/yellow/cream combo. So, what color does he suggest? PURPLE! The one color of which I hadn't really given much thought. I told him that I could do purple, but not a pastel purple. I like deep purple, and at DB, they have a color called "Lapis" which is a pretty, dark purple. I insisted though that Eric needs to come to David's Bridal and see the color purple in person before we finally decide. He said that any color purple would be okay with him. I'm not sure where this "purple" idea came from, but I can work with it. It's a pretty easy color to work with and it is/can be summer-y. It wont clash with my pale girls (sorry!) or my Laura (she's the red head I'm always worried about!). I think I like dark purple and cream as a combo. I mean, I can always throw in some light purple stuff too, but just to add some contrast. I think if the girls wear the dark purple, I will have them carry all white/cream flower bouquets as a great contrast and then my bouquet will be a variety of purples and cream. I dont know what I will choose for the men's boutineers.
Eric and I are going to run to errands today, one of which includes looking at the F'burg Hospitality House!! I hope he likes it as much as I do! It would be a great place for our wedding and it fits our budget. Not the most romantic or pretty, but we could make it work! Hell, with our budget, I'm surprised we even found this place! I have to get my ring re-sized AGAIN. I had them make it a 1/4 size smaller b/c it felt too big. Now it's too small and really hurts. So, up a 1/4 size we go. LOL.
So on a non-wedding note, I received a lovely $40.00 ticket in the mail yesterday from Maryland's safezone camera. Apparently I was going 62 in a 50 workzone and the camera caught me. Dang it! I suppose it could be so much worse. Less than one week until school starts back up (boo hoooooo). I get to see my brother, Lisa, John and Amber in just a few days!!! Not to mention, I also get to see my momma and dad! Great ending to a nice vacation, I must say!
Well, i'll let you know what Eric thinks of the F'burg HH later on today!
