I prefer the term "frugal" instead of "cheap"....

Yes. I am FRUGAL. Not cheap. Some might prefer call me cheap, (cough cough, Eric) but to me, when I hear the word "cheap," it just has this negative feeling to it....Frugal to me means being thrifty and conscious about my expenditures! (something I have never been before!). I suppose being on such a tough budget for the last 2 years has really done me some good!

An example of being frugal: In trying to figure out a way to show Eric wedding color combination's, I decided to stop by Lowe's and pick up some FREE pain swatches. They have practically every version of every color you can imagine! Instead of paying $1-$2 per cloth swatch at David's Bridal, why not take the paint swatch there with me, see which one matches and then use the free swatch when I go to the Florist, or pick our decorations?

So, here is my FAVORITE combo. I just have to convince Eric :)

TEAL/GOLDEN YELLOW/IVORY

Here is another combo I toyed with. Turquoise/Lime [I think this is too springy though] & the lime didnt really turn out well in this pic.
I also love the pink and black combo, but only if we choose to do a cocktail party reception, which is more "black-tie" than traditional.

So, there it is folks. BTW, found some super cute flats for the wedding that come in both teal or golden yellow!!!  For some reason, they wont blow up, but you get the jist. Also, they are only $30.00!! what a steal! I really dont want to wear high heals, b/c my feet will kill me all night long, but it's hard to find cute flats!!! I wish we had our colors decided so I could buy them now and not have to worry about them not being sold later. I hate that our wedding is so far away. Makes planning really hard! haha. Eric just tells me to stop planning because its too early. My excuse is that I have nothing else to do right now until the semester starts again, so I might as well plan! Planning does NOT equal paying. Planning ahead is the best way to stay thrifty and frugal :)
